Hey, we took the 1st Port Moody Scout group to camp there in the group site and included on-the-water training for canoe paddling (Colin is an instructor). The Group site is reasonable and private.

Mid-1970′s, my friends and I would ride down to the end of Mary Hill Road with a can of beans and a couple of strips of bacon in a pack. We’d jump in the river off the log booms and wave at the “friendly” tugs honking at us. We’d light a fire to cook the beans in the opened tin, and the bacon over a stick and eat our hot meal before heading home!

Ah…This I know….Alouette Lake. I did do a fair amount of cloning to remove distractions in the background…which also removed the things that would help you locate where the picture was taken!
